Kawasaki significantly changed the Kawasaki ZX-10R 2023. The 998cc inline-four's mechanical improvements were limited, although the Ninja did get a new air-cooled oil-cooler. It was decided to create a new exhaust system that would retain power output while reducing emissions. The six-speed cassette transmission's internal gear ratios were altered for faster acceleration, and a larger 41-tooth final drive sprocket was fitted.
The electronic rider-aid suite of Kawasaki ZX-10R underwent a number of modifications, one of which was the adoption of a full ride-by-wire system, which did away with the requirement for conventional throttle cables. With smartphone connectivity, a 4.3-inch TFT display now provides access to new integrated riding modes. Another addition was cruise control.
Kawasaki reduced the swingarm pivot, expanded the wheelbase, improved the front-end geometry, and fine-tuned the Showa suspension settings with an emphasis on balanced handling. By moving the clip-on style handlebars forward 10mm and raising the footpegs by 5mm, the ZX-10R's riding position was also made more aggressive.
Finally, new-generation Ninja style was applied to the ZX-10R. For a motorbike that is more aerodynamically effective, this entails the installation of integrated aerodynamic winglets, a larger windscreen with better protection and a revised ram-air intake design.
